Hi guys, I have a question. I have a Taiko Extreme server that outputs via USB and I get to the DD Reference, USB input and then go to the Select with an AOC cable. I often read that others use the USB ProISL module between the server and the DD. I wonder if there is a difference in using the Pro/ISL module between the server and the DD instead of using USB directly between the server and the DD?

My personal listening test have shown, in our setups, little to no difference between the USB and ProUSB when connected to a DD. The DD provides the most critical isolation between the processing, source, and analog domain. The USB hardware is the same between the USB module and the Pro USB, so it is just missing that additional layer of isolation.
