is there a difference between the old pro isl
and the one on the cascade?
i have the reference director and after replacing
a card inside i’m still getting pro isl error.
i’m going to upgrade to the cascade.

What “card” did you replace?
The early and late ISL are identical in operation. Only the housing has changed. I suspect a bad ISL optical cable or possibly the SFP modules. Please email me at vince@msbtechnology .com
I can send you a replacement cable and 2 SFP modules.

Not sure what you mean with this. What card did you replace inside the director? Can you post a picture of the back of the equipment.
With the Pro ISL it is important the little bar/lock from the SFP module doesn’t touch the chassis and the fiber cable is connected correctly (deep enough until it clicks)

i didn’t see the card.
msb sent to guy raguan the dealer and he
install it inside the director two months ago and it was okay untill now.
because i’m going for the cascade instead i will leave it to him
