I have an issue with my Cascade not seeing my streamer. I’m running an Innuos Zenith NG into your pro usb to the Cascade. The software is 1.8.1.1. When I turn the unit on with the Streamer already running it will flash the ProUSB input then revert to my analog input. Once it is there it will not go to the ProUSB input. If I restart the Cascade it will sometimes fix it yet other times I have to restart the Zenith NG as well. Any ideas what might be going on. Is it the SFP module as Vince suggests or something else.
Did you try changing the usb cable? To be sure, use a standard cable.
Have you tried new SFP modules? If not, let’s start with that. Please send me your address and I can get some sent out right away. This is the easiest/fastest test.
Hi Jonathan, I have the new SFP modules between the ProUSB module and the Director but not between DD and DAC.. I was told they would be coming? The swap is difficult in my installation thus hoping to do both at once. Thanks for reply.
The Standard SPF modules and ISL cables have been shipped from our New York office today. They are coming in both standard lengths and 10 m.

The special integrated AOC cables in Standard length will be shipped when we get them probably next week. We are not necessarily making this public knowledge at the moment until we get a consensus that they are better than the standard modules and cables. You are included in the test group.

The problem has likely be resolved thanks to Vince and the folks at MSB. Four days ago I replaced both SFP modules on the ProUSB system and optical cable. Its has been working flawlessly since that installation. Happy listening!

Hi Scott,
Just sent the experimental AOC integrated fiber cable for you to test between the director and the DAC. Please keep your results confidential for now until we get more of a consensus that this is a sonic advantage versus the standard SFP and separate ISL cable that comes with all of our DACs. Once we have that consensus, we will notify everyone about the new option assuming there is a significant improvement. Thank you!
