The two most used inputs for me on my DAC are a renderer card for music through Roon, and T1 for watching TV. I have to press the video mode button each time I change inputs. T1 always requires video mode, and the renderer always does not. How about having the DAC remember the last video mode setting individually for each input? Maybe make this part of Smart Input selection mode if some people prefer the current manual method. Just a suggestion.

I’ve actually been thinking of adding this feature to our products as I to do the same thing.
If you are not using the digital director, here’s a little trick in case I don’t get this done quickly. Just leave video mode on. When the Renderer input is used the video mode request is ignored as it can never be for video.

This feature has been added! It will be rolling out in the next firmware update for all DACs. I hope to have it all done next week pending final testing. It was a much needed feature to add, but was a lot of working updating code for 5 different products at the same time! @Daniel_Francis will be creating a how-to video to explain this new feature as it’s simple and complicated at the same time.
