If you have the digital director in the system can you still use the digital inputs that are on the Dac? I would use the toslink to connect to my tv. I would use the renderer for all music listening with the director in line.
No, the built in digital inputs, on the DAC are disabled when you add the Digital Director.
When I got mine, I got to choose one of the digital input modules that would come with the Digital Director. I moved my renderer module, and USB module from the DAC to the Digital director, filling those 2 DAC bays with the required modules to connect with the Digital Director. I believe all processing that was done in the DAC is turned off, including the processing of the built in Digital Inputs on the DAC. All inputs have to come in from the Digital director.

@vince_galbo does the premier digital director still come with an optical spidf input module included?
