So a silly question, will I be able to have a 50ft run 
and more importantly what will the effect be of long runs?
The confluence cable system is still analog. Sure you can run 50’ but it would be better to put the Sentinel analog converter close to the amps and run the optical Sentinel Link cables that distance instead. They can have no signal degradation to at least a mile.

Other than the financial aspect my real contraint is space and heat, so my daydream requires me to figure out how to fit the amps and DAC and Power in the very limited space, I know the amps are still on the drawing board but the size and heat generated will become significant factors in my case
