Is there a practical length limitation, @Dustin_Symanski can I place the powerbase 30ft away?
Hello @Peter.Bomberg . There is a maximum length before you start getting voltage loss and more important performance loss with Sentinel or any of our DC cables. The maximum cable length we support is 72in. This is the same for the Cascade.
@Jonathan_Gullman thank you, now I have to figure out how to break the news gently to my wife that we are ripping appart the fireplace so I can create built in cabinets for the amplifiers, btu the truth is I was expecting this outcome so all good, just add to the upgrade budget
Been there, done that. I suggest starting with that it’s not a load bearing wall and that indoor fires are bad for your health.

I would suggest that indoor fire will bring down humidity to certain level harmful to skin, and thus accelerate aging.
She hates (with capital letters) drywall dust and so on, in addition to the extra cost and repainting the house (or at least a massive part of it.
And the health aspect won’t fly as it’s a gas fireplace we really only use it other than a couple times a year as ambiance
