Here is the official MSB listening room. Very focused on technical performance with custom room treatment. The room is a sealed free-standing structure in the factory for sound isolation. Equipped with a variety of both 220 and 120 dedicated circuits along with/without isolation transformers pre-conditioning. We want as much variety in configurations to test as many real world scenarios as possible.

Hey all!
I want to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves at Klarsund in Sweden and share with us a picture of our largest listening room in Molndal, near Gothenburg in Sweden.
My name is Hans Hidstam and I am operationally responsible for the business.
Fun and interesting to share our knowledge and questions with you all!
Having the opportunity to compare 220V vs 120V (rare indeed) I’m curious to know your thoughts about the difference, sonically speaking, whatever MSB DAC or Amp involved.
The 220V is superior for us. Half the current draw through the cables and connections. Specifically best for hungry amplifiers. It is a much more effective way to deliver power to components.
Here in the US, most people don’t have access to 220V and have to run new dedicated circuits for it.
To Clarisys I’ve never listened. Between Estelon (the sealed models) and Wilson, Estelon all the way. A more modern approach, specially on the bass and mid-bass. Tight and precise bass. In my experience, Wilson will give you a more relaxed sound, but losing definition in bass, compared to the sealed Estelon.
To me, makes all the difference. If you like Estelin, give YG a listen.Even more precise (with pin point presentation). Right now, I am using a pair of Sonjas. Amazing speakers (but require powerful amps).
Wow, this is really breath taking. What a system !!! I love Marten’s Speakers and thos in the picture are their actual flaghship. I’ve never had the chance to listetn to them in a real environment. I’ll set my next holydays in Sweden
Really impressive Daniel, this is a dream configuration.
Just for curiosity (and to chat a bit), which are the test music that you (and the colleagues of yours) usually use to evaluate the quality of your DAC’s ?
And instead your favorite music / artist ?
Thanks @AlbertoPilot . I really listen to a bit of everything, but my wife and I own a horse ranch which occupies much of my time outside of work. I switch from uber high tech to uber low tech when I leave the office… it is quite the contrast. So at home we listen to a lot of country and bluegrass. Billy Strings, Christ Stapleton, Johnny Cash, etc etc.
As for test music, maybe we will put out a playlist at some point. It is a messy collection of many many different pieces of music. We need to listen to EVERYTHING and listen to many different recording qualities and styles. It is a list that won’t really make any thematic sense
Thanks Daniel,
I totally understand what you mean when you go from “ultra high end to ultra low end” once you’re relaxing, it’s called the law of retaliation, but I don’t know if in English it has the same meaning that we give it in Italy
I love that kind of music, with blues (even “the hard and pure” Delta Blues), rock’n roll and a bit of R&B is almost 90% of my playlist.
If you ever release a CD/SACD or a digital file for download (high resolution?) with the MSB Collection that will include soundtracks for evaluation and listening pleasure, I’m applying to be one of the first buyers
