Curious about MSB sound at shows

MSB team
Was curious how the sound in your factory sound room compares to sound at shows? Folks always say take show sound quality with a grain of salt given the constraints. In general is the sound better in your factory sound room or does it sometimes surpass it? Curious on your thoughts …,

Also I am only referring to MSB supported systems at shows, not other brands

What shows are you referring to Sir. The listening room at the factory has excellent results yet is designed to develop products in a quite dry and analytical envoronment. Show conditions are always difficult given the short time to set up and hotel / conference room conditions.

@Solecky, I have yet to hear a show sound surpass our listening room when it comes to detail and subtlety. No show room in the world has the room setup to match, but, I will say… Show setups often have fun/new combinations of equipment. Every so often lightning strikes and we have some incredible performances. Maybe not as revealing, but can be very musical and show what an MSB DAC can do.

Show conditions are tough, and when I go listening from room to room I always have a bit of grace for the presenters. It’s hard work!

Daniel’s comment is certainly accurate re listening at shows. The MSB room was packed with people which will certainly affect the sound along with the myriad of other issues trying to get good sound in a hotel room. That being said, I heard the MSB room at AXPONA last year and I thought Vince Galbo did a great job setting it up and it sounded great.
