I will add more later but having both streaming services and having bit of A/B comparison I have to say the clear winner is the Cascade DAC, it’s good on CD quality and its great when the source quality better but it simply shines when the source quality is hi res!
Now my immediate reflection is Qobuz seems to be more base prone, same track on both often sounds fuller on Qobuz, but the biggest difference i have noticed is listening in the car, it’s a huge difference in terms of drums and other fast transient sounds.
The reality is much more nuanced on my main system, some tracks are too base heavy in my opinion others are just perfect on Qobuz while the same track on Tidal seems more clinical. More listening to follow.

It’s never even crossed my mind to try a high end streaming service in the car. Do you pair it via apple CarPlay/android auto or just a direct bluetooth connection?
Android Auto for me Apple Carplay for my wife, they both sounded better than direct, and significant improvement over Spotify
oh forgot to ask, have you tried wired vs wireless connection? or do you not notice any difference?
Sadly no way to hardwire in my car, but we tried in my sons Volvo and we really couldn’t tell, but the sound quality overall in his car is decent at best.
Not another Qobuz vs Tidal “discussion”. My take is both have great sounding music and just use whichever one you like.

I’ve been playing HiRes music files in my Cybertruck for over a year now. The sound system in the truck is exceptional to begin with but the direct input through a USB C thumb drive adds a lot (for a car). Unfortunately the truck only has a Tidal App to play direct, no Qobuz yet. If it had Apple Airplay I could stream at CD quality but its not available.
