One of the reasons I use a pre-amp with my Premier DAC, is to be able to play vinyl. The MSB DACs over the Premier have analog inputs. For example, a Cascade DAC would accept the cables from your phono preamp, and function as a great pre amp itself.
With the Discrete DAC, you would need to keep a Preamp in your system for analog sources. Alternatively, if you sell the Goldmund preamp and upgrade to a Cascade DAC, it will include a fantastic analog preamp that many of our customers enjoy for LP sources. Best of luck!
