hi everyone
i have sgr audio rack and i want to replace my msb m205 mono’s with the s500 amp.
the problem is that the 500 too high to put on the bottom shelf and i don’t have a place for a single amp stand.
is it acceptable to put on the top of the rack.
thank you
The only concern I have is the Cascade DAC generates much more heat than the 500 does, I am not sure what DAC you have but the Cascade runs hot and likes to have a LOT of airflow
yes i have the cascade in a different rack.
my concern is whether it will hold it with no problem and will look nice .
what model of the SGR and only you can say if you like the esthetics, personally I am not a huge fan of giant objects at eye level as they become dominant. can you move components around?
Ofer,
If you haven’t reached out to Stuart at SGR, I would recomend it. He has specific shelving that he has made to support the S500. Including a shelf extension. He would at least be a good person to ask as he has worked extensively with MSB gear and making options to support it.
I could make an introduction if you would like, just message me your email address.
