How to protect MSB remote controller?

How do you protect your MSB Remote from dropping / scratching?
Can’t find any protective case / film for the MSB Remote in the market, and supposedly can’t use heat shrink protective film as that would make it difficult to use the dial on the remote.

Hi Raphael,

The remote seems to be built like a tank and has proved to be really rugged. Even though I haven’t given it any “special handling”, so far no scratches.

But all remotes seem to have hidden legs so I do worry about it walking away to hide under a sofa cushion… but I think I’ve got that covered. :grinning:

Thanks for sharing, Dan.
The brick floor of my home is considered a graveyard for remote control units… I’ve got 6 remote controllers broken / scratched upon falling on it within the past 12 months. :smiling_face_with_tear:
The latest casualty is my amp’s remote controller, and the cost for replacement almost gave me PTSD.
Therefore, I promised myself to get protection for every remote unit before the next tragedy.

Yikes! That sounds like about as harsh a remote environment as you could get.

Oh no no no no @Dan . I am going to design you a new remote backplate that can hold the AirTag in it. Give me a month or two to get it into production. You have a creative solution, but it hurts my aesthetic sensibilities

@Raphael , Our remotes are meant to be used and abused. Please don’t worry about it. Replacements are subsidized on pricing to make them affordable. First and foremost, enjoy your system!

That is great option!

Dan

Thanks Daniel. Good to know!
