I just finished my big project, a new audio rack. Finding a 3 shelf by 3 wide, only 24 inches high was problematic. So I built a Flexy rack using bamboo plywood. Lots of sanding, staining, and Tung oil rubbing. I have new speakers coming late summer / early fall, but those will be a surprise.
Firstly, I put everything that has an on switch up where I can get to them. The amps were previously on low stands.
Secondly, I wanted to be able to configure for any system changes. I might get lucky enough to score taller components, or such, and I can reconfigure as needed. The current parts are just tall enough to stay under the TV screen, which I do not want to crane my neck up to look at.
