Actually when I start rocking at over 87 DB she leaves the room.
Hi Scott,
Wow! That is an outstanding listening room.

As is yours Dan! New to the Forum. Waiting to replace my Reference with the Cascade. Will post my system when installed. Needless to say very excited.
You will love your Cascade! It’s beyond stratospheric

Wow, that asymmetrical fireplace looks wonderfully comfy cozy for winter days. Stunning woodwork as well!’
Our pup also has limits on volume before losing interest
Hi Daniel, Interesting that you noticed the asymmetrical nature of that wall. I’m a Zen aesthetics guy. One of its tenants is to eschew symmetry.
I love that. Was this house custom built or work done through renovations? From the glimpse we get to see, it is quite stunning.
I am an Architect and Phd Economist. I designed this home which we have been in over the last forty years. There have been 4 major additions to the house over that period. My master bedroom addition was featured in “Fine Homebuilding” magazine several years ago. I also designed and built all the woodworking in the photo including the hanging stainless lights. We live in East Tennessee.
Huzzah and well done! I was instantly drawn in by the craftsmanship, the attention and thoughtful design elements clearly show in your work. I am an amateur woodworker myself, but I can appreciate the finer works I see.
This looks like a somewhat near field setup. What is your side to side speaker distance and listening distance?
8’ tweeter to tweeter, 10’ tweeter to listening position. The Room is 16’ wide and open back wall that terminates at 52’. It is somewhat near field. Record racks work as bass traps and equipment alcoves work as first reflection diffusers.
