I just noticed that the auto off on the display of my Cascade isn’t actually off.
It’s very dim but not off it looks bright because the room is dark (no light at all)

One of the things I found (since your post) is that the Light Display button on the remote changes the Display Mode from “Auto Off” to “Always On”.

@Peter.Bomberg ,After reading your post, i tried setting the Display mode to “Auto off” (my usual setting is Auto Dim).
Indeed the Display is not totally “Off” because there is still a dim display (Brightness of <1).
I left the display at "Auto Off‘’ after that.
But when i came back after 1 hour or so, i noticed the dim display is totally off, ie. No display or dark.
After that the Auto Off always worked! Strange but true. Try leaving the Display mode at “Auto Off” for longer to see whether it works.
@Easyglider thank you no clue what happened but yes today it’s back to working as expected.
@Jonathan_Gullman was this a Halloween special ![]()
This will be fixed in the next firmware release. Long story short, the bug is ONLY there when the DAC is powered on and a digital input hasn’t been played yet. Once a digital source has been played, it works correctly.
The next firmware release, it will work perfectly all the time. Thanks for finding this bug!
@Jonathan_Gullman our pleasure and thank you for fixing them as they are identified.
