Wonderful @Peter.Bomberg , well curated! Cheers.
Hello Peter,
what are the dimensions of your stereo triangle?
My impression is that the base line is broader than the distance speakers to sweet point. ???
Very impressive set up.
Ernst
I will measure, and I suspect it’s suboptimal but life is all about compromises, and sonically I would love to pull the speakers out another 20cm but my wife gave me the hmm, so we compromised on the current spot.
The soundscape is very large, the “canvas” is easily 8-10ft tall and 15-20feet wide, but it’s fantastic. The MSB M205/Cascade combination is lighting fast, there is no bleed there is no ringing, the decay is tight and controlled.
@Daniel_Francis please tell your team this is one fantastic combination and if anyone is near my place they have a standing invite for dinner! My wife who really is more into convenience than sound quality, commented that it sounded better than the Focal Grand Utopia/Niam system she heard and much better than the Wilson Audio system she listened to (and both of those were more expensive)
Thanks for the kind words! This is why we do it
@ernie-master,so finally I measured.
distance between speakers 303cm
linear distance to sweetspot line = 360cm
diagonal to sweet spot = 390cm
Ideally I would like to move the speakers out to 350 (but I can’t as they block the stairway) and I would like another 15cm from the wall (but alas I can’t as they become obstacles).
So this is the compromise spacing.
I see no compromise, it is stunning and you enjoy it! Enough said!
Hi
Wow great system it looks really great the way it have been set up.
Best
Henrik
Thank you @Henrik_Berg , are you in Copenhagen by chance? If so or Stockholm it would be great to say hello sometime.
Last year it was the system.
This year I am upgrading all of the cabling (interconnects (AQ Angel), power (AQ Dragon) and speakon (Custom AQ Angel) for the subs as well as the speaker cable (AQ Dragon)
Next year if $ permits I am contemplating the subs (I run them as a pair), currently REL S/812’s but I am contemplating REL No. 32’s (If I could get them in white!) but I have heard good thing about Perlisten and MJ Acoustics and I have time to contemplate (and get feedback from people with similar systems)
Hi Peter
Sound great the upgrades you do for the system.
I have 4 used Rel 32 for sale if you need some .
I’m in Copenhagen 2 to 3 times a month and Stockholm 2 to 3 times a year.
If you need help or something else you can call me or text me on WhatsApp
