Hmmmm, not recommended. Not for performance in this case, but for cooling. The Analog Converter runs hot! If you have room for a shelf between them that will help significantly. These units are not designed to stack, although we have 1 customer doing so. It does require a lot more forced air to make sure everything is cooled.
This could work if you ran ducts to a large air blower and pump enough air over the units to keep them cool. You could include an automatic thermistor probe to sense when things heat up and turn on the air. But it would have to be enough airflow to cycle the air out of the enclosure so things don’t overheat.
I think the entire system would benefit from this actually, including the amps. I think the biggest challenge to manage will be heat. In either configuration. The second one looks better, but will require some air movement still. Could you run a chimney duct up through the facade?
For the first diagram, what about flipping the Niagra and the Sentinel Power so you would have two matching shelves for the Director and Niagra?
@Daniel_Francis starting from the top, yes and the strangest part is my wife liked the open concept idea. The model would be a 3 tray where the amps are on a separate tray and the rest on one, it means the base plate has no seams and you have to pull out 2 out of 3 to access the back.
Ok so Director on Niagra but it means 2-2.5m long XLR and a promise you can ship me a 2.5M conflience cable when the Sentinel Amp replaces my M500
I would rather flip but I was thinking that the Sentinel Power needs more clearance, I need to find out how much it would cost to raise the existing cabinet from 41.5High to 50 or 55 as that would give me more airflow, but the symmetrical design looks much sharper, now I just have to get a custom Niagra 7000 made to match the MSB front or a wood cover so it’s hidden.
The exhaust out is likely unneeded but hot air rises so that would whisk it away silently to the bathroom above
These are awesome! Many folks end up with CPU style fans which simply don’t move enough volume. This solution should work fantastically. I would lean towards the 6" versions.

I mean this genuinely, it looks really great @Peter.Bomberg. If ducted correctly, that symmetrical layout should work very nicely. Giving you the best of both worlds.
