The homepage link should bring you to the top of the forum not to the MSB homepage. Alternatively please add a button called Top or Forums or something like that.
@Peter.Bomberg I will see what I can do. The editing of the menu at the top is pretty limited. Currently it is setup that the homepage button takes you back to MSB technology homepage and by clicking the “MSB” logo on the left it will take you back to the forum homepage.
perhaps reverse them, use MSB logo on top left to go to MSB technology home page, and the ‘Homepage’ link to go to this forum
@Kevin_Turnquist Ahh my logic (and might be very unique) would be to change the logo to the MSB home and the home to the focum home as that is the context but again my logic differs from most.
Also an idea, you have amazing products but the how to’s are scattered all over the place, maybe create a link collection, as an example unboxing the M205’s was a google search, which brought me back to MSB but no link on the support page for the M205’s
@Peter.Bomberg @akro great minds think alike! That is a great idea and implementation. Seems more intuitive and also makes the forum header match our main site header more closely adding to the uniformity and functionality between the main site and sub domain.
I have changed the menu options to reflect this, but changing the MSB logo to redirect to the main website will take a little bit of time.
Great feedback, thanks @Peter.Bomberg !
As for the last part of your statement, I don’t think I follow. We have the feature page for each product along with a support page for each product. do you mean that you would like links to “How to’s” like the videos to be posted on the support page for each product or do you mean that links in general are scattered around the site?
@Kevin_Turnquist you do have a support page linked to each product, with a link at the top of the page (nice) so taking the M205 as an example.
There is a download link for the manual an 3 topics related to the setup. MSB also made this really good and product appropriate video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK93SMXTRaQ on how to unpack the M205, but there is no link from the product page to the video.
I would add a section just before the tech specs with related how-to material and maybe add hyperlinks to each section right after before The M205 Mono Amplifier – Support separator (Manuals, Setup, How-To, Technical Specifications, Dimensions)
Ahhh yes, A small oversight on my side. This is the plan moving forward, but I think I just let some of the older pages go by the way side. If you take a look at the latest Universal I2S support page, We are moving things forward to having written instructions as well as the video format listed above. It is a lot more complicated to implement on the complex products like digital director and dacs, but I can implement this pretty easily on the amplifier pages. I have just neglected them and haven’t thought to make these additions. Thanks for the input.
@Kevin_Turnquist much nicer and I would add hyperlinks (but then I dislike scrolling)
Hyperlinks have been added where they fit in the top menu options. As more content becomes available I will work out a cleaner layout to display additional links as to not upset the layout balance of the top columns.
