The sound of our systems (and the music we favour) and how much we like it is indeed something very personal. Each one of us has his own preferences. Some like the vintage sound (great), some like valves (beautiful), many still enjoy analogue (lovely). I went through it all, and enjoyed it all, in my many years into this hobby - and passion for music. In the last four years however, I have dedicated my time and efforts into slowly building up a very high end digital only (streaming) system. And, since the arrival of the MSB Cascade DAC (after the Discrete, Premier and Reference, loved them all, kudos MSB) and, got to add, inserting into the system the Omega Audio Concepts Element speaker cables, wow, the results are nothing short of exceptional, to the point that I know now that this is indeed where I really wanted to be - I absolutely and unequivocally love it.
Long live every type of hifi, as long as one enjoys what he has, but a lovingly and well assembled, top digital system, today, is a top sounding system indeed.
