Hello from the South of France. I want to introduce you to my installation. I recently moved and had to recreate the installation to fit my living room space.
First of all, let’s talk about the foundation of the system - the rack. In my case, it consists of two parts. The first part is a four-tier rack containing a turntable, a phono preamplifier, and a CD player. The second part is three-tiered and houses all the other components. The second part is more advanced - the shelves contain vibration dampers, so there was no need to place the equipment on vibration-damping pads. The rack was custom-made for me; the standard version has seven legs, but I arranged a version with eight legs with the Bassocontinuo factory. All equipment is connected with handmade interconnect cables, except for the World Clock cable - Viard Audio Design Silver HD Master.
The power section is connected to the PurePower 3000 power generator, which, with the help of built-in capacitors and batteries, performs a two-stage DC-AC AC-DC conversion, creating a perfect sine wave at the output and completely isolating the utility power supply from the expensive equipment. The power cables are as follows:
- 1.5 meters - Fisch P7 M1F1
- 4 meters - Furutech DPS 4.1 with custom connectors.
Equipment:
- Turntable – Acoustic Signature Askona mk1
- Tonearm - Vivid Audio
- Cartridge and phono preamplifier - DS Master 3
- CD - Audio Research CD9 used only as a transport.
- Integrated amplifier – DartZeel CTH-8550
- Streamer - Aurender 20SE
- DAC - MSB Discret DAC with USB Pro ISL module and two power supplies for digital and analog sections.
- Ethernet Switch Melco S10
- Speakers – custom-made handcrafted speakers by Italian master Sonus Victor based on his standard model SV200. The speakers have an astonishingly warm and musical sound. Despite their relatively small size, they deliver impressive bass, build a fantastic soundstage, and perform well across various music genres.
Now I’ll talk about some equipment that is rarely used in building Hi-End systems, but it’s a shame!
First of all, these are ACTIVE and Passive ROOM ACOUSTIC ELEMENTS from Stein Music. The active Harmonizers of the acoustic environment are H-Pro signature. Wives usually aren’t happy about their presence
, but the result is worth it. I have installed eight of them. They make the room transparent to sound waves. You will be amazed at how much more detailed your favorite album will sound when using these devices.
The passive elements - BS pro and BD pro, also eight of each. They are attached to the ceiling, expanding the acoustic space both horizontally and vertically. This is especially noticeable when listening to large symphonic orchestras, church music, organs, and choirs.
Additionally, I used smaller elements from the company’s range to eliminate the influence of glass surfaces, electrical interference at power connection points, and room geometry.
On each component that has 220 volts power, a vibration damper from Artesania is installed above the transformer. They eliminate residual vibrations and cabinet resonance, which negatively affect sound quality. I highly recommend these devices to the community - they have a noticeable effect and are not too expensive.
As a result of my six months of efforts, I have created a very balanced system with a clean, lively sound.
As for what I listen to - I’m omnivorous. Mostly classical music in various forms, and jazz.
