My Cascade has arrived

Just a quick note. I will post my system in a few weeks. I had been running the MSB Reference (without DD) in my system for the last year or so. The Reference replaced my Denafrips Terminator. Installation of the Cascade was easy and the unit had no issues on startup. Right out of the box, on first listen, all I could say was WOW. Everything sounded better. Definitely the upgrade I was looking for. Even my vinyl sounded better. The other plus is my unit looks stunning. I have the copper accents with a blue led screen. A big thumbs up to the MSB team!

what’s your vinyl path?

I use a Pass Labs XP-27 pre + HW40 VPI Table + Grado Aeon Cartridge

and then PassLabs out into Cascade?

Yes! In my experience a Preamp is absolutely unnecessary. A pre may (will) change sound signature but not improve it IMO.

@AaronD Ordered the blue display with his unit as well. Pictures of his unit were posted to the forums here under the “cascade production” post.

We enjoy doing small customizations from time to time, but it can take it out of the regular production pipeline. Luckily, this modification is just an additional filter in the display stack up.
