Hello! The newest version of the Cascade code is dropping shortly. Quite excited to hear some feedback on the performance. I have started this thread here so we can consolidate what people are finding in their systems. It is one of the greatest joys to be able to take something great and make it even better for you all, and for free!
If you have been using the beta code, you can share now, but otherwise chime in after the new firmware drops later today! Cheers all!

Cascades sold to date x 4x/hour since about 3PM EDT.
Although I’m still using Select DAC, I’m really looking forward to the new Cascade code release.
Hourly on my end. Which is more often than I check the soccer score.

The new code is live! I know many have been checking every few hours, but I wanted to make a few other improvements.
Changes made:
Just a quick listen… Big improvement. I don’t have time at the moment to listen closely and be analytical. But this is an update you want!
Initial impression.. First things that hit me was clarity and spaciousness. I don’t know how to quantify what I hearing. Imaging even better than before.
Chocolate Chip Trip, Fear Innoculum
180 degree presentation. Before was really wide, but not 180 wide.
Also 180 on Jarre Oxymore. I can’t remember how wide it was last time I listened to it in stereo, though it was pretty good.
Drums were much better… I’m guessing that was due to better transients. Brushes in Cymbals sound more real than before.
Image and detail much improved
MonaLisa Twins “This boy is mine”. There voices are more distinct than before. Teach Your Children. Papa’s harmonies much more distinct. Before he was harder to pick out.
Queen of Hearts, Sicut Lilium inter spinas. Voices more distinct and better localized.
All this is hard to believe this because the Cascade was so good before.

Very first initial impressions. Nothing technical, just some gut feelings after twenty minutes or so since restarting my Cascade after the update (swift and flawless btw). Sound has improved. Everything has improved. I especially love that warmer touch that I am feeling, even more ‘analog’, I’d dare say more Reference like but on a Cascade now, with all its very major improvements over the Reference. Love it (even more) 
First a well deserved congratulation to the MSB team, you have made a great product even better. Second you again proven you are more customer focused than profit driven and that is yet another reason why we (ok speaking on behalf of people that I think will agree) are going to remain loyal MSB customers for years.
Now first impression I am hearing improved spaciousness, clarity and openness but those are minor compared to what is jumping out at me. The first is layering or more accurately revealing the musical layers in a way that allows them to be heard and be present the second is warmth and richness.
On rock tracks with only a couple instruments it’s subtle but listening to Rippingtons, Sarah Brightman, Opafire it was noticeable and with Diana Krall it was remarkable.
I know my listening for a while will be oriented towards layered music, and anything @Dan mentions but I want to echo, my and many others view was that my system sounded absolutely amazing and this upgrade shoved the needle, which considering the starting point is pretty darn impressive!

Ok, on my system after a quick 15 minute listen I can say this; I listen to a lot of female vocals. The old version had the singers (i.e. Billie Marten, La Lune) more forward and always seemed a little digitally etched floating in air. The new version has them more part of the music and vocals are definitely more natural sounding. That mild digital etch is gone. Next the bass is significantly richer and more present. No bloat here. It’s powerful without overwhelming. Very organic sounding. My 2 cents after a quick listen.
Well this is pretty interesting. After 30 minutes somethings are instantly clear. My take.
Birdy, Skinny Love: Open piano strings are the biggest difference. It does them 2000% better now.
Taylor Swift & Bon Iver, Exile: Lots more space between everything. Each voice and instrument are placed very precisely spaced.
Marcin, Midnight Sonata: Micro detail is off the charts.
Eva Cassidy, Autum Leaves (Simply Eva): Her voice is flawless, I have the vinyl and her voice was always a bit edgy on every detail system I’ve ever heard it on. It sounds like the record now.
Melody Gardot, Worrisome Heart: Her voice is so rich and textured, significantly better than it’s ever been. The horn that I know is way back and to the right of the singer, sounds like it is way back and to the right of the singer. Prior to the update it was pretty much directly next to the signer.
Basically tasting a rainbow. Nice work gents.
