*NEW* Bit Diffusion Technology

I just received my Cascade back after the BD upgrade a couple of hours ago. The Cascade was already so utterly delicious-sounding over my previous Reference. The BD upgrade seems to have given it an even more analog and non-fatiguing sound. Thanks @Daniel_Francis @Dustin_Symanski and @Jonathan_Gullman for this upgrade!

I am too scared to even imagine what the Sentinel will be able to do.

@haragr , thank you for the feedback! We are so happy with the BDT update as well. It only gets better with time as you start listening for new details.

The Sentinel is indeed on another level. It has utterly ruined me -_-

I’m absolutely astonished with the improvement bit diffusion has brought to my beloved Cascade that I was reunited with an hour ago. Transcendent is the adjective I’d use to describe what I’m hearing. While I loved the Cascade before (came from a Select II), it’s now so much more emotionally engaging and captivating. You are in the concert. The realism, gracefulness, layering, nuance, image solidarity, soundstage depth, and musicality are off the charts. For those of us who adore this hobby, this is life enhancing . What I’m hearing now, I’ve never heard before in any system. Thanks MSB Team!!!

Huzzah! So happy to hear! We are so stoked to be able to gift this upgrade to everyone who has been supporting us as early Cascade adopters. Thank you and hope you continue to enjoy! It really is like the Cascade 2 already

@Daniel_Francis No need for the A/B the upgraded (in more ways that one) Cascade simply sounds fantastic.

I want to thank your team as you not only improved the Sound Quality but also fixed the IR remote relay issue, I can now pause/resume from any remote pointing at either the unit or via an IR repeater and it works perfectly!

My quick observation is that BDT really enhances the vocals and spatial separation, but overall the sound is silky, smooth, precise and very very responsive! Honestly my system sounds amazing, I can’t wait for the REL’s to arrive to complete my system!

Peter,

You’re hearing all the things I heard when I got my Cascade back. It took less than five minutes to tell that it was a huge upgrade…

So I have to admit it took me a while to reach the same conclusion @Dan , my testing playlist starts with Angie by the Rolling Stones as I love the bouncing mono that transitions to stereo as the song progresses and my initial reaction was great spatial separation, very broad canvas (both vertical and horizontal) with a lovely guitar decay but all of those were present prior to the BDT upgrade (maybe a bit improved but it’s been a long time since I heard my system so…)

The next track however made me say hang on it’s Humble Stance by Saga and I smiled when I realized I could tell they are a Canadian band not by the tonality but by a colloquialism expression in the lyrics, it’s way clearer with the BDT I felt ok improved but not significant

Track 3 the Brazilian by Genesis, ok the sound is fluid, fast but most importantly perfectly positioned, yes it’s definitely better!

Cue Sarah Brightman and Time to Say Goodby, ok there is no question vocals are clearer, placement is more defined the canvas is bigger but most important on Captain Nemo the tones are distinct and layered but never muddy! I am sold this is a major upgrade, a couple jazz tracks later and Russ Freeman’s East River Drive makes me realize cymbals shimmer.

So @Daniel_Francis and team, I have to say thank you and yes it really is a significant upgrade, one that makes me want to play hookey and listen rather than work
