Brussels New Music Show 24

On Nov 9 - 10 we participated at the New Music Show in Brussels. This is the most important show for Belgium and attracts almost 2000 Visitors over the WE.
This year we teamed up with the YG Distributor and used the Vantage 3 loudspeakers.
Source was the Antipodes K21 Music server is Roon + Squeezeplayer mode. USB PRO - PRO ISL input on the MSB Discrete DAC with a Premier Power supply feeding the S202 Amplifier.
All cables in the system were from Ikigai Audio (from the Netherlands)
Room acoustics were improved with Artnovion Alps and Lagos diffusers with Siena absorbers.
According to a lot of visitors, we had the best presentation and sound by far…
Playing music was a joy as the S202 controlled the YG very good, and the performance of the discrete dac with the Premier Power supply is absolutely amazing.
I have to admit that the combination of MSB with the Ikigai Cables for me is beautiful and extremely musical.

This year we upped the game in Brussels at the New Music Show. As Brussels in celebrating 100 years of Art Deco we wanted to add some design elements. When you look at the Art Deco movement, a time period where industrial design, technological developments and beautifull architecture came to fruition. It was a blast, we created a music room as architects in that period would do. With warm colors, wood and bronze accents. The system was the Antipodes. Oladra server, MSB cascade Dac and M205 mono’s driving the YG Carmel. Cabling in the system was Ikigai Audio. We also added a SME turntable and a Nagra phono pre pre using an analog input of the cascade.

You did it again!

Were those just silver YGs that were reflecting some of the light? Otherwise they look like they are almost pearlescent.

This was the Carmel 3 in Bronze color.

Would you mind sharing what cartridge you were using? Did you find it to be a good match with the Nagra Phonostage and Cascade as the pre-amp? Thanks!

The cartridge was the Clearaudio Titanium V2.

The Nagra did a great job and the pre amplifier section of the Cascade is imho widely underestimated…

Thanks. I run the same setup, Cascade & Nagra. But my cart is the Hana Umami red. The volume section of the Cascade is very good. I do wish the Nagra had a little more gain, like 72 DB on the high setting.

Seeing how far we’ve come, it is easy to forget where we were… and all the work you’ve done to get us here! Thank you @Frank_Vermeylen , Martine, and the team you are building. Awesome presentations all around!
