Hello, I am an electrostatic headphone user. I am very interested in your electrostatic amplifier, but when I was ready to purchase one, I was told that it had been discontinued and was no longer in stock. Your original electrostatic amplifier was launched to pair with the Select flagship DAC. Now that you have released your new flagship DAC, the Sentinel, I would like to know whether you have plans to design a new electrostatic amplifier for this new DAC.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
If I ever get the $ to upgrade to Cascade, replacing my Premier, and sell the pre-amp, I would be interested in either a class A headphone, or Stax Electrostatic (selling my BHSE). As I use a pre-amp, the current Premier headphone amp would not work, in my system.
I understood they made the 3 headphone amps for “testing” & “experimental” purposes, and sold a few, but they did not last long. Not sure if you can special order them, or not. Perhaps, with the new model lines, they will experiment again. (After Sentinal DACs, and Amps, are settled in)
Hello! Some dealers may still have stock of the Electrostatic Headphone amp. So it may still be a possability.
We are currently looking into a new version, but are taking some time to evaluate ways to do so safely. The high voltage architecture can be dangerous for our production team and service techs. That being said, if we can, we will likely explore a future Electrostatic Headphone design.
Exactly, working on the Sentinel Amp currently.
I found that the Grand Audio custom version is still available for order, and I have already placed an order for it.
I am glad to hear that you are developing a new electrostatic amp. There are currently too few options for electrostatic amps, and most of them are still tube-based. I would very much like to see more transistor (solid-state) electrostatic amps enter the market.
If you are going to develop electrostatic headphones, do you plan to develop them within the existing 580V bias and 5-pin system, or do you plan to develop a separate new specification of your own?
Excellent!
It will be very similar to our current design, I would not expect any performance differences, but instead just a safer implementation for our production team.
Oh no, Grand Audio just told me that you currently no longer have the materials to produce the Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier, so the order had to be cancelled.
I have contacted many dealers and browsed many websites, and none of them have the Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier anymore.
May I ask approximately when your new electrostatic headphone amplifier will be released?
