I’m testing a dd premier with my premier dac. Everything is fine as long as samplerate is low. From 192khz there is a lot of distortion. I checked the + sign (visible) and firmware (28.14 and 20.11). I use aurender n10 and the older prousb module (which does function perfect without dd). So what could be the issue?
There was a second pro isl module in the unit that seemed to cause the issue but that’s not the case. It seems to go wrong when I switch 352 kHz files. After that 192kHz also do not play correctly anymore. Prousb module is V2
Can you confirm the issue is there with the advanced filtering turned off as well?
I’ve seen this a couple of times with the fiber module either in the ProUSB or the ProISL input card. Are you using stock fiber cables?
Yes all stock cables and it happens with passthrough too. But I flipped the mains plug yesterday afternoon 180 degrees (in my country you can plug it two ways) and that seems to be the solution for now. Fingers crossed.
Or the old “power off → power on” magic? Some sort of reset.
