Has anyone played with it? And if so can I get your thoughts/opinions and ask you questions?

I used one when working with the new interface, but you probably want to hear from others that have listened to in their system. I really like the way their output modules work and are user-changeable.

I bought one and paired it with my Sentinel. I love it! However, if you have a lot of local files (I have over 12TB!), just know that you cannot use Roon, JPlay, etc., to play files stored on its local SSD storage. That is a closed system, utilizing their proprietary, but excellent, Conductor software.

“Roon-Ready” is often confused with “Roon-Certified”! Roon can only be used, with an N50, for sources sharing the same local network, which does NOT include any user-installed internal SSDs on the N50.

Most Aurender products cannot be recognized as a Roon Core. But I believe Aurender Conductor has superior sq, and it’s still pretty to look at, as well!

I would be curious to know if there is any sonic difference between the N50 and a ACS10 when connected to an MSB Digital Director via USB. Theory suggests that they ought to sound the same.

I am looking at the ACS10 as a CD ripping solution and subsequent file playback over USB to complement streaming via Network Renderer V2 module.

I suspect you might be getting a lot of questions, my first one is did you listen to any other options before picking the N50?

I have a G4 Antipodes Oladra. (It’s back in its original carton. I’ll probably offer it for sale.) I also owned a Taiko Extreme. I wouldn’t go back!

The South Koreans make excellent audiophile electronics. The AK portable players are an example. They really took that market from Sony!

Thank you, did you ever have a chance to compare to any other Aurender via Pro-USB

No. I would only pair one flagship (the Sentinel) with another.

That is fair and my gut feeling too, but $ towards A vs B is always a debate
